Networking with senior actuaries – highlights and learnings
Six up-and-coming actuaries reflect on their unique opportunity to network with leaders of the actuarial profession.
While participating in last month’s ‘Virtual Speed Networking’ event, Actuaries Digital caught up with Michelle Ng, Garvin Tso, Sarthak Garg, Queenie Chow, Aarish Alinizar and Muiz Murad to capture their enthusiasm and gain an insight into their key takeaways from the two-hour session.
The event, an initiative of the Actuaries Institute’s Young Actuaries Advisory Board, saw seven senior actuaries each host a virtual ‘breakout room’. Similar to a ‘speed dating’ event, participants were rotated in groups throughout the various breakout rooms, providing them with the rare chance to learn and ask questions of each senior actuary in attendance.
