Melbourne Fellowship and Graduation Dinner

Hosted by President Daniel Smith, the Melbourne Fellowship and Graduation Dinner was held on Tuesday 19 August at Bluestone Restaurant and Bar.

This was a special evening shared with family, friends and colleagues to commemorate the great achievements of the new Associates and Fellows of the Actuaries Institute. Congratulations to the following on behalf of the Institute.

Ben Locke gave an eloquent vote of thanks highlighting the devoted support these graduates have received through their studies from their partners, family, friends and colleagues. He also shared some of his own valuable experiences incurred during the journey to fellowship making for a very moving and memorable vote of thanks.

Congratulations also to Christine Brownfield, the recipient of the Melville Financial Services Prize for her paper presented at the 2014 Financial Services Forum The Fourth Pillar – The Role of Home Equity Release in Retirement Funding.

Thank you to all who attended the dinner to celebrate these exceptional accomplishments. We often muse amongst the Institute staff that the Graduation Dinners are the happiest and most sentimental events on our calendar and they are indeed a pleasure to organise.
