MRA signed with Canadian Institute

A new agreement between the Actuaries Institute Australia and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries has paved the way for greater career opportunities in the profession.

MRAThe Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) allows, for the first time, for mutual recognition of Associates as well as Fellows.

“I am pleased to have taken part in this momentous signing and hope the membership will greatly benefit,” said Estelle Pearson, 2015 Actuaries Institute Australia President.

The agreement stipulates the conditions upon which a member of the Canadian Institute will be admitted to the Australian Institute and vice versa.

This is the first of the Australian Institute’s continued efforts to include Associates in all future MRAs in order to provide a greater breadth of potential career opportunities overseas.
