To better understand the uncertainty of COVID-19 on Private Health Insurers, the Actuaries Institute's Health Practice Committee issued a survey to Health Actuaries in July 2021. The survey covered a range of issues, from the impact of COVID-19, how to deal with deferred claims, risks and how actuaries were tackling major assumptions.
A survey of universities and university actuarial students, as recognised by the Actuaries Institute, was conducted last year to identify the composition of university actuarial students and their views. Andy Yang and Kitty Chan analyse the results of the survey.
